Trollhaugen's 2025 Openhaugen

Skiing & Snowboarding

When the 24/25 season wrapped up at Trollhaugen, the mountain operations crew was already planning for opening weekend 25/26. With help from Red Bull, they were able to farm even more snow than past years by piling a giant mound of snow and covering it with special tarps and hay in order to preserve it until October 2025. When the first weekend of October rolled around, groomers pushed the mound of snow onto Tomtebakken, with it's new high speed rope, and host 3 rail jams for their fall fest weekend. Because they were able to hold onto so much snow, instead of hiking up a small area of the hill to hit a couple features, the riders were able to use the new tow rope and ride an entire full set on Tomtebakken! Even though it rained during the pro jam, energy was high and everyone was excited to be on snow.
